Zoe! - H.O.T. (Hands on Traning) For Life

Welcome to our church's young adult ABF. We are happy that you have visited our webpage and would love to see you in our class at 9:30 every Sunday morning.

Our classes name comes from the Greek word meaning "life." This class has been developed to help those who are in the beginning of their "new life" with Christ. Our class exists to fulfill Christ's words in John 10:10 to our lives, "I have come that they might have life and have it the fullest." Thus, our class is specifically designed to meet the needs and desires of singles and couples between 18 and 30 years of age. Specifically, our class’s purpose is, "to grow spiritually, with the goal of being more like Christ, through lively fellowship, ministry and outreach, prayer, and discipleship, which stresses the essentials of being a Christian."

We recently finsihed a study about the inductive method of studying the Bible. This method strives to uncover the original situation of a biblical book, study the book within that context, summarize the passage into a single idea, and then make applications that fit the current conext in which we live.

Our current study is, "Relearning the Priorities of Prayer." This study consists of looking in detail at Paul's prayer concerns, as found in his epistles. Then, we will then translate these prayer priorities to our own prayer lives. Classtime currently consists of lectures, dicussion, but also a lot of time spent in prayer. This study is based, in a large part, on D.A. Carson's book, "A Call to Spirutal Reformation: Priorities from Paul and his Prayers." If you are interested in purchasing this book for $11.00, please see Drew.
