Our 2009 Deacons and Wives
Dennis McMichael and his wife, Barb Dennis has been involved in our church since his days in our Sunday School and Youth Group programs. He currently is our Board Chairman and leads our Finance Team, where he is responsible for putting together the church budget, making key financial decisions, and overseeing the church treasurer and financial secretary. In addition to this he is also the chairman of our deacons. Dennis and Barb also serve as our church's youth group leaders, a capacity they have filled since 1989. He also serves as an ABF substitute teacher and our Japan 2004 Teen Missions Trip Leader. Dennis is also the vice-president and co-owner of our local McMichael Insurance Agency, where he has earned many levels of certification and other achievements. Barb teaches physics and other related courses at a Nordonia High School. She is also actively involved as a Sunday School teacher mentor, decorator for Worship Center, and a regular member of our Festival Choir. They are a great Christian couple and wonderful parents of Paul, Kevin, and Leah whom they adopted as a child from a Chinese orphanage 2005. They would love to talk with anyone interested about this privilege and process.
Ron Sterner, and his wife Chris Ron has been faithfully attending Faith since 2002. He is our currently leads our Building & Grounds Team. He also serves as one of our church's ABF teachers. He has past experience in an assortment of ministry positions, including deacon, bus ministry, deaf ministry, teaching children's Sunday School, Men's ministry roles, and other adult teaching positions. Ron's wife, Chris, serves in our AWANA, Women's Ministry, and Sunday School programs. Ron and his wife Chris have four children, Rhonda, Ron Jr., John, and Kip. They are also the proud grandparents of Jesses, Riley, JJ, and Kayla. Ron worked for General Electric for 17 years. His hobbies include working for the Lord, fishing, and woodworking. His technical and mechanical knowledge and abilities are used greatly by the Lord in our church and we appreciate this important ministry.
David Gentile, and his wife Denise Dave grew up in the Akron area and was involved since childhood with his family at one of our sister churches, Graham Road Baptist in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio where he was very active in his adult years as a deacon and other ministries. There he and Denise met and married, and God has blest them with Abigail, Benjamin, and Caleb. They have the distinction of living the closest to our church at about 1/4 mile away. Denise serves in our AWANA ministry and is a coach in our Upward basketball ministry. She sings in our Festival choir and is active in the Ladies ministry. Dave and Denise head up the Nurture Team and many are blest by their caring hearts.
Bill Mace and his wife, Debbie Bill and his wife have been members at Faith since May of 2004, and he was elected to the church office of deacon in January 2005. Bill currnetly heads up the Outreach Team, teaches an ABF ("Home Builders"), and works as an assistant leader of our AWANA Group TNT. Bill also is heavily involved in our technology ministries and is serving with Pastor Workman as co-director of the "Men's Fraternity" ministry. Bill came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in December of 1988 at a local church in Columbus, OH. He understood God's plan of salvation as he attended a Christmas Cantata. That night he understood that Jesus paid the price for his since and that by his death and resurrection alone he could be given eternal life. Bill has been happily married to his wife Debbie since April of 1991. They have three wonderful children, Colleen, Adam, and Emily. Bill graduated in October 1989 from DeVry Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree majoring in computer science. Since August 1993, he has been employed as the Information Technology Manger by the Construction Labor Group in Richfield, OH.

Jeff Sheldon, and his Wife Robin
Jeff and his wife moved locally in 1997, following a relocation for work. He has been working for Temple-Inland for 24 years. The first Sunday they came to Faith, we were holding an off-site service at The Chapel's campground,
